PWS-5 (PWS-7) – Polish accompanying aircraft. Developed and built in 1928 at the Podlaska Aircraft Factory in Biała Podlaska. The first prototype was flown on December 28, 1928 at the factory airport by pilot Franciszek Rutkowski. The Department of Aeronautics of the Ministry of Military Affairs (Polish Military Aviation Command) ordered a small series of 5 aircraft of this type. These planes were marked as PWS-5t2 (the letter “t” was an abbreviation of the word accompanying, the number “2” indicated the number of crew). These planes had the ability to fold their wings. The total production of these aircraft amounted to 7 units. The PWS-5 plane was a two-seat companion plane, a wooden biplane. Classic chassis – fixed. Drive – one radial engine. [wiki]
